The apartment is located in Montesilvano a seaside resort near Pescara in Abruzzi region called “The Green Region of Europe”, not far from hills cultivated with olive groves and vineyards and the mountains (where you can ski in winter and hiking in summer). The region can boast the presence of three national parks (“d’Abruzzo”, “della Majella” e “del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga”), a regional park and 38 protected areas within WWF oasis and regional and State Reserves. Abruzzo holds a lot of small villages and well-preserved medieval hill towns (those closest to Montesilvano are Silvi Alta, Atri, città Sant’Angelo, Elice, Loreto Aprutino, Penne...). At 5 km there is Pescara downtown which is a lively city, very pleasant and full of shopping outlets, fine restaurants and bars. Pescara has some museums, several good churches and buildings, an open-air theatre, an important pleasure-craft port. In summer, Pescara holds important performing arts and culture events such as an International jazz Festival, the Premio Flaiano awards and the great sea procession to celebrate Sant'Andrea (St Andrew), protector of fishermen, with the famous parade of fishing motorboats off the coast. In the evening, the Montesilvano and Pescara coast offers a wide variety of opportunities for entertainment, with many restaurants, pubs, wine&disco bars, discos, clubs, exhibitions, concerts... During the summer, a huge number of events and festivals are held to promote typical local products and traditional recipes. The apartment is located at only a few kilometres from the Abruzzo Airport, the Pescara railway station and the A14 motorway. Near the flat, there are many restaurants, snack-bar, open-air markets, supermarket, newsagents, weekly markets, luna park, wellness centre…
Entertainment:
Sea: the beach is at 100 m. Tours: there are boat services connecting the splendid Tremiti islands (a Marine Nature Reserve); Rome is only about two hours away (By car or by bus); there are also two water parks, whose exciting fun activities add an extra dimension to seaside holidays. In just a few kilometres, the landscape changes from sunny beaches to soaring Apennine peaks and astonishing, untamed and unspoiled beauty is to hand, flanked by villages, castles, abbeys, lakes, Parks and Nature Reserves. All inland towns and villages offer a continuous calendar of events like historical pageants, patron saint festivals, open-air dances, folklore performances, concerts, fetes and culinary stands. Sports: sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, fishing, mountain bike/cycling, horse-riding, tennis, five-a-side football …

The location is ideal: within walking distance of the beach, bakery, butcher, restaurants.
But the biggest asset of the apartment, I personally think that the owners live on the first floor so you can always contact them. I must say that we are pleasantly surprised by their warm welcome, their helpfulness, and their little kindness ... during our stay, the owner was always ready to help us and to give us good information about the sights and restaurants.
We stayed there for three weeks and we had a huge "home feeling" ... we are already a fan, and we definitely return back to this destination!
The location, not too far from the center, it was also great: quiet but still close to the beach and amenities.
Mr.. Paolini and his whole family were immediately welcomed in a charming way. Starting with the food "typical " of the region that they did find us on our arrival and until the end of the holiday, were extremely helpful in giving us suggestions and lavish, destinations and tips to better enjoy the holiday itself.
We were really impressed by their hospitality 'and the attentions shown; the weather (meteorological) was not that great ... and here comes Mr.. Gaetano of games to keep quiet with our two girls ...

The owner and family are lovely people, in hand, ready to solve any problem. kind and generous already from the start with a welcome basket and with good products from their garden.
Daily there are local markets where you can buy good food and traditional festivals festivals. Recommended.
From the apartment, well, everything within walking distance: beach, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.
As the apartment is on the ground floor, you could make with shutters on all windows very well that it stays cool even in midsummer.
The landlord is trying very nice and extraordinary. He stands for all questions available and always helps. Children are also very welcome.
I can only recommend this apartment.
