Our children enjoyed themselves in the large garden and could safely walk the stairs to the beach on their own. Bathing in the almost private bay with sand / pebble beach was very pleasant, if the cold English Channel is not frightening. The water was clean and clear. The official and guarded bathing beach of Yport is only a 25-minute walk away. Etretat can be hiked along the coast in a good hour.
The house itself and the furnishings are showing their age. That didn't bother us. Anyone who needs everything perfect and new will have a problem. We enjoyed the charm of this special villa.
Communication with the landlord was uncomplicated, quick and friendly.
The rental was in line with our expectations (an idyllic place, at the door of beautiful hikes, ideal for 6 couples because many rooms (the dormitory in addition did not serve us) and much appreciated the great confidence of the owner who allowed a relaxed and friendly stay. Some improvements to be made in this family home: a few missing light bulbs, refreshing some pillows and eiderdowns ... We ate our meals in the room on the terrace which was much more pleasant but which requires some handling ... We appreciated the calm and the magic of the place!

This place is great for a large family gathering. This is the second time we come to celebrate the anniversary there with my husband and our little son and we hope to come back again! Our little 8 year old son even offered to make it a family tradition to come celebrate her birthday and her grandfather to "the Caloges "!

We go every year with our amateur painters (10 people) to France for a week and love to stay close to the sea, to paint and to beautiful walks. The house is wonderfully large with a nice big terrace / balcony where you have beautiful views of the area. Quiet setting. No TV. For us no problem.
