We had an excellent stay at the hamlet of Méribel Mottaret. We particularly appreciated the large living space of the living room - lounge and the integrated kitchen open to this space. The proximity to the slopes, shops and means of transport (bus, cable car) to go down to the bottom of the resort are very appreciable. We will come back with pleasure.

Very nice chalet, very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Very popular for groups with a fireplace in the living room. The shuttle is nearby for skiers or walkers. The hamlet of Chandon is charming to visit. The owner is very friendly and available if needed. To recommend.

Our stay was appreciated by our large family (we were 12: parents, children, grandchildren) because the chalet, in its small forest, was not only consistent with the description, but in addition .... beautiful, bright, comfortable, spacious with 1 hallucinating view of the surrounding mountains. We even plan to come back!

We had a great stay at this chalet. Very warm welcome, thank you for the white wine, the accommodation is very functional and very well equipped. Very clean on arrival, comfortable bedding. The bathrooms in all the rooms are a plus for the comfort of life. Very well placed in the village, quiet and close to the chairlift.

Très grande propreté à l'arrivée, literie confortable. Les salles de bain dans toutes les chambres sont un plus pour le confort de vie. Très bien placé dans le village, calme et proche du télésiège.

Very good Chalet, we rented the house during the winter and due to the recent snowfall we were able to ski from the house to the ski lift (and even from the piste to the house, though this requires a fairly substantial descend off-piste). The owners were responsive in their communication and were able to offer us a discount on our skipasses. Overall we had a very nice stay!
Accommodation very well equipped for the capacity of people announced. A very good quality / price ratio. Access to Les Menuires and the 3 valleys area is easy for skiers and walkers alike. Quiet and relaxing place away from the noise of the ski area for evenings at the chalet.

Spacious and bright apartment. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the 2 toilets, prove to be VERY practical!. The central location on the Croisette, access to the shopping mall without having to go out, the ideally placed ski locker are also significant assets. Finally, the owner Mr. P. is very helpful and easily reachable. Only downside, the proximity to the car park means that the noise of snow removal is a little present at night. Beep beep beep...

Appartement spacieux et lumineux. Les lits sont confortables, la cuisine bien équipée et les 2 WC, s'avèrent être TRÈS pratiques!. L'emplacement central sur la croisette, l'accès à la galerie marchande sans devoir sortir, le casier a skis idéalement placé sont aussi des atouts non négligeables. Enfin, le propriétaire Monsieur P. est très serviable et facilement joignable.
Seul bémol, la proximité au parking fait que les bruits de déneigements sont un peu présents la nuit. Bip bip bip...
Nous recommandons cette location sans hésiter!
Pleasant apartment at the foot of the slopes, very easy to access. Perfect location for ESF lessons and ski lifts. Completely consistent with the description, photos provided. Lots of kitchen accessories. Only downsides: the lack of a wardrobe in the rooms to store your belongings and the carpet on the floor (not very hygienic).
Agréable appartement au pied des pistes, très facile d'accès. Localisation parfaite pour les cours ESF et les remontées mécaniques.
Tout à fait conforme aux descriptif, photos mises à disposition. Beaucoup d'accessoires de cuisine.
Seuls bémols: l'absence d'armoire dans les chambres pour y ranger ses affaires et le tapis au sol ( pas très hygiénique).
We only discover this large chalet if we are invited to cross the door of the barn which shelters it! We all particularly appreciated the large living room on the 2nd floor with its terrace and its view of the mountain and the roofs of the village! Comfort is at the rendezvous on each floor for great holidays with family or friends!
On ne découvre ce grand chalet que si l'on est invité à franchir la porte de la grange qui l'abrite ! Nous avons tous particulièrement apprécié la grande pièce de vie du 2ème étage avec sa terrasse et sa vue sur la montagne et les toits du village ! Le confort est au rendez-vous à chaque étage pour de chouettes vacances en famille ou entre amis !
Superb chalet, spacious and very well equipped (everything needed for 12, but with little bonuses that count like games, reading...). Ideal for a group of friends who want to get together in peace. Very pleasant terrace with a magnificent view of the mountains and the valley.

We had a great family vacation. Very nice and spacious apartment for 10 people. We will be back for sure. Small suggestions to improve this beautiful apartment, it would be necessary to put either a wall or a curtain on the bathtubs because it was difficult not to put water outside. The mattresses of the bunk beds are very hard and may need to be reviewed. Really small details because this apartment is TOP. Thank you for this beautiful stay.
Nous avons passé un super séjour en famille. Appartement très agréable et spacieux pour 10 personnes. Nous reviendrons c’est certain. Petites suggestions pour améliorer ce bel appartement, il faudrait mettre soit une paroi, soit un rideau sur les baignoires car c’était difficile de ne pas mettre de l’eau à l’extérieur. Les matelas des lits superposés sont très dures et peut-être à revoir. Vraiment de petits détails car cet appartement est TOP. Merci pour ce beau séjour.
Every now and then you get lucky and find an amazing home-from-home rental accommodation. Trust me, this is one of those 5* gems! Where do I start?
Clearly Marc & Patricia have put an enormous amount of thought and effort into making this chalet a home with everything you could possibly want. I believe this chalet was recently renovated during 2021 and so everything feels new.
The kitchen is truly well equipped…plenty of large and small plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses (both wine glasses and flutes, tumblers and pint glasses), mugs, cups, cooking utensils, pots and pans, to cater for ‘WELL OVER’ 12 people (we were 8, so plenty to spare). There is a dishwasher and also both a Fondue and Raclette set for those adventurous cooks, oh….and a sandwich toaster. Also provided is a Nespresso machine…we took our coffee pods but I believe you can buy pods in Tignes Le Lac if you forget to take your own. Our favourite kitchen device however was the table top ice maker…. perfect for that G&T after a hard day on the slopes!
The chalet has 4 large bedrooms all with en-suite with plenty of storage space. The beds were very comfortable. Three of the bedrooms have additional beds - two of those bedrooms having slightly smaller mattresses large enough for say a 13/14 year old depending on their height.
The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating and a huge dining table overlooking the enormous outside terrace and the beautiful views across the lake to Val Claret and the mountain beyond. The lounge has an open fire and plenty of wood to burn is supplied. The lounge also has a Bluetooth speaker to connect your own devices to (we hard wired our mobile phones as we couldn’t figure out the Bluetooth connection after a few glasses of wine!! Likely it was the wine which affected our senses than the speaker itself, so I’m sure anyone that’s tech savvy would be able to figure it out and if not, Marc is always available to help!). The lounge is also equipped with a smart TV and DVD and also has the ability to connect up a laptop.
The outside terrace is huge and we were lucky enough to bask in glorious sunshine for 4 days out of the 6 when we returned from the slopes. There is an outside BBQ (gas I think) and Wood Burner that unfortunately we didn’t get to try, but great as an option should you wish to use them.
There is plenty of WIFI throughout the chalet and not once did anyone moan about poor connectivity….not even when all 8 of us were on our devices!!
The chalet has it’s own private cinema room and sauna (for use solely by the occupants of this chalet…i.e. not shared with anyone) – additional towels are provided for the sauna. The cinema room has great surround-sound and you can connect to pretty much anything…Apple TV, Netflix, Prime, Disney, your own laptop and there are plenty of DVDs to choose from in the chalet should you not want to bring your own.
The chalet has its own private (not shared) boot warmer and ski rack, enough for at least 12 sets, conveniently positioned inside the chalet by the front door.
The owners Marc and Patricia are extremely welcoming and friendly. They are very close by should you need anything. Should you arrive in Tignes early before check-in or leave Tignes later after check-out, they will try and be as flexible as possible but if it’s not possible you can safely store your luggage in Marc and Patricia’s locked garage and head into town.
The walk into town where the ski schools meet takes no more than 5 minutes. Here you’ll also find a great supermarket with plenty of choice as well as plenty of restaurants nearby (I suggest you book 3-4 days in advance in peak season).
