Functional apartment
We had a great week
Only small downside: the accommodation, although very functional, deserves a good refresh. But the view would almost make you forget this point.

very good mattress, functional kitchenette, in summary we had a great
stay in this apartment.
The person who greeted us was on time, very cheerful and pleasant. She gave us a tour of the apartment and we spoke briefly of possible excursions.
The apartment was tidy and clean on arrival.
It is equipped with two televisions, oven, microwave, fridge, and even has a dishwasher. Missing only the washing machine but you can find laundry facilities nearby, and it is better to go if one wants to wash clothes because the humidity level of the air oceanfront makes drying difficile laundry.
In the bedroom, you can put a cot next to the double bed, provided to push the bed against the wall and put the two night tables on the same side, that is what we did.
(A cot is also available on site).
Bedding is very correct.
The scenic highlight of this apartment is the beautiful view (As it is nice to have breakfast on the terrace with viewsthe ocean and the waves ...) which also allows to observe beautiful sunsets.
The terrace is also equipped with a table, four chairs and two loungers.
For a very reasonable price (20 ? / week), can benefit from a closed box in the basement very practical: easy access, it is situated right next to the elevator and a large truck to mount very Easily bags and suitcases. It is also very spacious.
The residence is pretty and well maintained.
Just downstairs is Minimes beach.
Near the apartment, you can find various shops (press, bakery, etc ...), restaurants, a popular coastal walk joggers and the Port des Minimes.
The city center and the Old Port are a 5-minute drive away.
Many excursions and possible visits: tours, aquarium, maritime museum, Ré, Aix, Oléron, Fort Boyard.
Finally the price / quality ratio is very correct. I relouerai smoothly this apartment for next holiday.

Turning to the rental apartment ideally located in the Port des Minimes with all the handy amenities (bakery, laundry, supermarket, sea bus, restaurants (a small nod to the Calypso), pharmacy, shops and I passes). The beach is located at the bottom of the lease but if you go plan safety shoes to protect your feet .... LAMENTABLE propose a beach like that for a city like La Rochelle. As for us we will swim at the Ile de Ré or Oléron because over there the beaches are sandy and not with rocks in water as theMinimal.
Apartment: to start small problem of communication with the owner 15 days before our departure had not cashed the check for deposit so phone call to find out if he had taken into account our location. On arrival at the apartment against any concern, the person who hands over the keys was quick. The formalities took place without problems and then quack. In fact the person gives us 2 draw sheets still quite wet and we said we need dry. Not serious when we know that six months before someone will come that day. We put them to dry but as the weather was not in the sun we had to improvise with sheets that we took with. The person party we went around the apartment: - negative + positive
- The ground quite dirty and shower limescale on the windows (1/2 hour cleaning)
- No component in the living room (just curtains) so the person sleeping on the sofa bed was already awake at dawn
- Handle of the bedroom window in poor condition (fear every time she remained in my hands)
- Door handleinput in the same condition that the bedroom window
- Garage door even more sorry state than those mentioned
- Access not easy for large vehicle parking
- No dishwasher it would be wiser to put a washing machine
- Too small fridge for 3 adults
- No wardrobe because the fridge is housed there
- Disastrous wifi
- Oilcloth on the coffee table would be a more (for ca glue)
+ People making the welcome and departure are on time and fun
+ Garage proposed although difficult to access (20 ? more)
+ Fairly complete accessory apartment
+ Balcony with sea view
Bedding + very good room
+ Tv in the living room and bedroom
+ Large shower for someone like me (120 kgs) I was very comfortable
+ All the amenities at hand
Price + ? 650 in high season this is a detail that counts and that makes you forget a lot of things
In summary I would say that the asking price for the apartment is worth it and that I would advise no problem if you want to spend time in La Rochelle and the owner is planning some improvements (well for the fridgeit seems that I saw myself being a replacement), I shall be quite ready to return one day if I'm still accepted after this comment.
In any case do not hesitate to visit La Rochelle, Ile de Ré, Ile d'Oléron and Ile d'Aix even because they are beautiful places that have bewitched me and my wife to the point that one is already almost certain to come back a fourth time.

A little advice, take the garage option, the availability of outside parking are almost nonexistent; more convenient for bicycles.

Great apartment with a beautiful view which deserves 5/5.
The home is simple and fast. The bathroom is quite large with a nice big shower, trash deserves a small lid, the closet is spacious, it lacks a towel. The kitchen area is small, but sufficient, hobs are indeed quite close, apart from two new auto cookers, the rest utensils deserve a good shot refresh (drawers cutlery, knives and mismatched glasses, pots and pans very old, chipped or cracked dishes) trash to broken and no salad spinner lid. The closet storage corridor has been split into two to squeeze the fridge, to the detriment of the closet that does not exist (lots of hangers, but no rod to hang). The most critical point is in the room, the bedding was stained and dilapidated and filthy pillows. The terrace is lovely with this beautiful sea view, but fewdetails, 4 plastic seats are split and stuck clothing whenever you get up, it is sorely lacking 2 sunloungers.
We still had a lovely time.
Enchanted by the city of La Rochelle, where everything is for pedestrians, cyclists.
Already want to come back.
