The setting of the property is outstanding - on a hill surrounded by fields and woodland. Close to Sarlat, a ten-minute drive, the location is well away from the road, so there is no traffic noise and so the experience is one of peace and quiet.
We had access to the swimming pool, shared with one other rental property on the site, and there are some lovely walks across the fields and into the woodlands.
Xavier the owner is very friendly and the arrangements for our stay were well cared for. The booking process itself was very smooth.
The furnishings in the property are basic but the layout of the property inside is generous with a large reception room and dining table in the kitchen, plus tables to enjoy eating al fresco on both sides of the property so that one could have both breakfast and our evening meal in the sun!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very good location for a peaceful site, a green and soothing countryside environment. Healthy and very functional house, very well equipped in all areas: bedding, bathrooms, kitchen, leisure (TV, bowling alley, ping-pong tables and above all equipped swimming pool).

We had a great stay at this vacation rental. Everything was perfect. Very clean, functional and well-equipped house, the most is the swimming pool and very quiet place. Nothing to complain about. We will definitely come back. Vosges conquered by this beautiful region.

Very nice house, large plot and swimming pool that we enjoyed with the children. However the cleaning was not really done thoroughly. We came across cobwebs. The bedding really needs changing and the air conditioning didn't work and we would have appreciated a small fan for the night.
Très jolie maison, grand terrain et piscine que nous avons apprécié avec les enfants. Cependant le ménage n'était pas vraiment fait à fond. Nous sommes tombées sur des toiles d'araignées. La literie a vraiment besoin d'être changée et la climatisation n'a pas fonctionné et nous aurions apprécié avoir un petit ventilateur pour la nuit.

In general quite satisfied, note that it lacks Wi-Fi, which is not clear enough in the ad and that it is a bit small for 10 people, especially if they are adults. Four of the beds are only suitable for small children.

Very well restored Périgord house in a magical place: a haven of peace in the middle of a magnificent estate (woods, meadows, fruit trees, mushrooms, roosters and chicks, ...) with a swimming pool well integrated into the landscape. Beautiful sheepfold in an exceptional environment. Even if the weather was not good, we were delighted with our stay !! One regret, it was too short! The hosts are very available and accommodating! We promised to come back !!

We had a wonderful time at Marie & Olivier's wonderful Gite.
The position of the Gite is stunning. It could not be better positioned.. The views (you can see for miles) are second to none. The sunsets are breathtaking. The stars at night also awe inspiring.
We were 2 families with 4 children (all 5 years old and under). The pool is AMAZING and kept clean throughout the week by Olivier and his team. The pool is also securely fenced off so the children are safe. There is a sandpit - swings etc for the children too. Figs grow everywhere...it's heaven.
We had a fabulous time - the Gite has everything we needed (we didn't even switch on the TV). The hot water never ran out...the kitchen well equipped. It's rustic as we expected - but in a charming way and everything worked perfectly;
Its the ideal place to relax - enjoy the pool - see the local area. We will be back - it's a great family holiday.
