The setting of the property is outstanding - on a hill surrounded by fields and woodland. Close to Sarlat, a ten-minute drive, the location is well away from the road, so there is no traffic noise and so the experience is one of peace and quiet.
We had access to the swimming pool, shared with one other rental property on the site, and there are some lovely walks across the fields and into the woodlands.
Xavier the owner is very friendly and the arrangements for our stay were well cared for. The booking process itself was very smooth.
The furnishings in the property are basic but the layout of the property inside is generous with a large reception room and dining table in the kitchen, plus tables to enjoy eating al fresco on both sides of the property so that one could have both breakfast and our evening meal in the sun!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have just spent 15 wonderful days in this pretty house full of old charm. With the large above-ground swimming pool and the good weather, we took full advantage of the very pleasant garden and had something to refresh ourselves. Thank you Pascale for your lodging, thank you also to your mother who gave us a very warm welcome and who made our life much easier on site. Highly recommend this authentic and charming gite and there are plenty of things to do in the area.

Avec la grande piscine hors sol et le beau temps nous avons pleinement profité du jardin très sympathique et avions de quoi nous rafraichir. The rental was consistent with the description of the ad. We spent some great weeks at Mrs. Pascale's. The cottage is very good for a family, it is a beautiful place, isolated in the countryside, large secure above ground swimming pool, the ladder can be easily removed. The owner is in another house 3 mins by car, she is always available for us and above all she is really nice. If you are looking for a quiet place in nature then do not hesitate, this is the place to come.
La location était conforme au descriptif de l'annonce. Nous avons passé de belles semaines chez Mme Pascale. Le gîte est très bien pour une famille, c'est un bel endroit, isolé à la campagne, piscine hors sol grande sécurisée l'échelle se retire facilement. La propriétaire est dans une autre maison à 3 mins en voiture, elle est toujours disponible pour nous et surtout elle est vraiment gentille. Si vous cherchez un endroit calme dans la nature alors n'hésitez pas, c'est ici qu'il faut venir.

In general quite satisfied, note that it lacks Wi-Fi, which is not clear enough in the ad and that it is a bit small for 10 people, especially if they are adults. Four of the beds are only suitable for small children.

MAGNIFICENT holidays! The lodging is absolutely exceptional. The charm of the old, the nooks and crannies in the house, beams, wood, stones with all the comfort we needed for our holidays. The swimming pool, the terraces to choose according to the weather and the temperatures, everything is there! hammocks, children's games ... deckchairs around the swimming pool for the day, and admire the stars after dark. Everything is there ! even the fruit to be picked directly from the trees, and the visit of a fawn at nightfall. We will come back, it was exceptional! Thank you Michel :)
Des vacances MAGNIFIQUES ! Le gîte est absolument exceptionnel. Le charme de l'ancien, des coins et recoins dans la maison, des poutres, du bois, des pierres avec tout le confort dont nous avions besoin pour nos vacances. La piscine, les terrasses à choisir selon la météo et les températures, tout y est ! les hamacs, jeux d'enfants... les transats autour de la piscine pour la journée, et admirer les étoiles la nuit tombée.
Tout y est ! même les fruits à cueillir directement dans les arbres, et la visite d'un faon le soir tombé. Nous y reviendrons, c'était exceptionnel ! Merci Michel :)

We had a wonderful time at Marie & Olivier's wonderful Gite.
The position of the Gite is stunning. It could not be better positioned.. The views (you can see for miles) are second to none. The sunsets are breathtaking. The stars at night also awe inspiring.
We were 2 families with 4 children (all 5 years old and under). The pool is AMAZING and kept clean throughout the week by Olivier and his team. The pool is also securely fenced off so the children are safe. There is a sandpit - swings etc for the children too. Figs grow everywhere...it's heaven.
We had a fabulous time - the Gite has everything we needed (we didn't even switch on the TV). The hot water never ran out...the kitchen well equipped. It's rustic as we expected - but in a charming way and everything worked perfectly;
Its the ideal place to relax - enjoy the pool - see the local area. We will be back - it's a great family holiday.

After a timid climb through the forest we discover a completely secluded haven of peace, an idyllic setting of nature that we have rarely observed except in Tuscany, see Bali. The restored house offers all the comfort possible. The temperature is regulated by the stone and it remains cool in summer. The woodwork of the master of the place offers this Perigordian feeling typical of a warm and luxurious guest room. We come out of this last week of vacation completely relaxed. It was sometimes difficult to leave the area to visit the area so we felt good. Bien au delà de nos espérances ! Après une timide montée au travers la forêt nous découvrons un havre de paix complètement isolé, un cadre idyllique de nature que nous avons rarement observé si ce n'est en Toscane, voir à Bali.
La demeure restaurée offre tout le confort possible. La température est régulée par la pierre et celle ci reste donc fraîche en été. Les menuiseries du maître des lieux offrent ce sentiment périgourdin typique d'une chambre d'hôte chaleureuse et luxueuse.
L'accueil et la douceur des propriétaires vous mettrons directement dans le rythme de la nature avoisinante. Leur pie apprivoisée d'y fusionner. Beko à Chipie.
Nous ressortons de cette dernière semaine de vacances complètement détendus. Il a été parfois difficile de sortir du domaine pour visiter la région tellement nous nous y sentions bien.
Se laisser porter donc et ne pas hésiter à inviter les propriétaires à l'apéro piscine pour découvrir ces hôtes discrets, d'une douceur extraordinaire et pleins d'humours.
Rien n'est laissé à hasard à Queytival, ici des amitiés sous les étoiles, et l'éden d'un petit val.
